Selling more stickers!
I offered custom grad cap toppers again this year.
I got a new bible and started bible journaling and painted the cover.
Digital lettering quickly became one of my favorite things to do.
I started receiving sticker orders through Instagram and Etsy. Majority of these included custom dog stickers.
For Christmas, I got a Cricut and Heat Press, and I started creating apparel.
Once I started creating more just calligraphy and hand lettering, I decided it was time for a rebrand. I was very into digital illustrations at this time.
I starting bullet journaling in high school, but with the amount of time I had during 2020, I decided I wanted to try to design a bullet journal style planner. With the help of my family, I was able to print, bind, and sell about 30 planners.
I created my first stickers in August of 2020 when my childhood friend passed away.
In July 2020, I got an iPad and Apple Pencil. I downloaded Procreate and started experimenting with digital art.
In 2020, I decided to start decorating graduation cap toppers. My designs have come a LONG way since then…
I had a lot of free time in 2020 because of Covid, so I continued painting a lot. I would watch Disney movies on my iPad while painting Disney characters. I created a set of Disney Old Maid cards by painting sets of matching characters on playing cards. I eventually made copies of these cards on cardstock.
In January of 2020, I decided to create an Instagram page to post my artwork called Calligraphy by Kate.
I started combining my new hobby of hand lettering with something I’ve always loved – painting.
In 2019, I bought brush pens and started hand lettering.
