In Vector Illustration, students were tasked with designing an editorial spread for an article. The article I chose is called “The Guy Who Ate a $120,000 Banana in an Art Museum Says He Was Just Hungry.” I chose this article because I love bananas and thought it would be fun to illustrate a banana worth $120,000. I was inspired by the comical tone of the article and wanted to make the illustration match. I kept the colors cohesive and balanced in the illustration. I made sure my illustration was detailed, but still have enough contrast with the text so that the text was readable and legible.
