PLANNER

During my year of online school, when Covid hit in 2020, I found myself with a lot of free time. I had always loved bullet journaling and decided that I wanted a challenge; I wanted to create a bullet journal-style academic planner. I started this project before I discovered graphic design, so I created each page uniquely, by hand. Each month of the year had its own theme. I had so much fun designing each page, using markers and pencils. Once the design was completed, I needed to figure out a way to duplicate each page and bind them into a book. After a lot of research, my family helped me make copies of each page and bind the planners together. We spent so many hours working together and it was so much fun. I sold around 20 planners. The next year, I knew I wanted to do something similar again, but at this point, I had discovered graphic design and procreate. I decided that I wanted to create each page by hand again, but on my iPad rather than on paper. This made the printing task much simpler. After designing each page, my uncle helped me arrange the pages in Indesign to get them ready for printing. I was able to visit the print shop and watch my planners get printed. They turned out much more professional this year. I sold 50 planners.
